Going on the replies here from previous queries I have one major thing to say that may or may not solve problems:

Don't update over the old version - delete the old version and install the new version anew!

(which is a bit of a pita actually as then you have to re-do all the settings lol. not that two minutes work is a hardship...lol

As Bifford notice, this is installer not updater, so You need to remove older version to install a new one. Params in AG Control Panel are mirror of AG Plugin Params, so if You cannot change Params in AG Control Panel, try with Params in AG Plugin (Extensions > Plugin Manager > Content - AdmirorGallery)

there is a serious problem when entering the sub directories th AG looses a the last slash in the path and there for gives error that he cant find the directory.

I made this error myself - in the AG preferences make sure that the Default Directory path has a " / " after it!!

For eg: images/stories/photographs/
not just images/stories/photographs

Probably this is an issue rinat have. This give me idea to put something new in Brainstorming - Auto correction or some error notice if ROOT path doesn't have "/" on the end.
