Status of version 5.x

As i'm seeing a version at Github, but also one here at the forum i'd like to know what the status is of the component and if there is some kind of roadmap.

What version to use and how frequently will there be updates?

hmm, just noticed that the current version i've installed is from Jan. 2014 and we're more then a year later i wonder if there is any progress.

There had been some changes since Jan 2014, but not any big ones.
Last year I got a daughter so the gallery had to wait
I'm slowly starting to pick up the pace.

Anyway, to answer your question, for now on I will do my development on GitHub, and further releases will be linked to a tag on GitHub.
My first goal is to fix issues that mostly you found
Next is to align with Joomla Extensions new rules (they changed quite a bit in the meantime) and submit the component for listing.
