galley won't show up
galley won't show upAlthough I'm pretty sure it's a basic Joomla-error I'm making somewhere, I'm stuck getting the galleries appear within my site.
This is what I want: 1. On the frontpage I want to have a link to the photo albums index page. The link shouldn't be part of the regular main menu, since I want the linkit to be displayed elsewhere on the page. I created a complete new menu for it (named My Pictures). 2. The album-index page (with name Albums) should show a list of available photo albums (in text or with a thumbnail) leading - of course - to each individual album. I've also tried to get galleries displayed in an article through the {AG}foldername{/AG} solution, but that way I only get to see the header of the article, the text "{AG}foldername{/AG}" and the footer showing the promotional info of Admiror Gallery. What am I doing wrong here? Is there maybe a basic manual available what to do next after you've succesfully uploaded a range of pictures? Thanks in advance for your help. E.J.
Re: galley won't show upDid you check to see if the Admiror Gallery is enabled in the settings?
Also do you see images in Image manager? Is your site online? If yes it would be good to post a link to the site so we could check what is happening. The last step would be to provide back-end access, but that is only if nothing else works Help Admiror Gallery become even better,

Re: galley won't show upProblem solved! The thumbnails show up in an article and the pop-ups also work fine.
I had set my folder name to 'Album 1 (07-07-2012)'. That name caused the problem. So when I changed it to 'Album 1 07-07-2012' it worked fine. Still one question remains. Do galleries always have to appear in an article? Or is there also a direct way - without it being part of an article - to get them displayed on the site?
Re: galley won't show upFurther experimenting already solved my question in the previous post. In case some reader wonders, the answer is "no a gallery also can show up perfectly without being part of an article".
Now I still only have to arrange the nesting exactly how I want it. |
