If user wants to use new component or plugin, user has to remove current. Doing this all setting is lost. All parametes for plugin and all data for menu items.
So sort of update is needed.

Hi Guys,
I updated the com/plg as you described. But the Thumbs in the image manager are not loading.
This is not happened in case of a new installation.
Any idea to have the prob. solved fast (like remove any database items etc.)?
Im Safari(Mac) there is a Problem with the linebreak in the image manager.

This isn't quite Update brainstorming kind of talk
. Please create new Topic for it, at Component Forum, with some additional info.
Problem with breaking line is Safary issue. Safary doesn't render CSS as W3C recommend. I'll see is there some solution for this.
Thumbs in Image Manager are dynamically created with GD library and used from browser cache. Does AG Plugin successfully create thumbs at Site (Front-end) during Gallery rendering?
