Admiror Joomla! Community

Ive been using this component for several revisions now, and was excited to see this new release. Fantastic job!

I am testing it out on a site running Joomla version 3.2.2, with Admiror 5.0.0, which installed fine, shows images as expected on a gallery displayed by menu item, and functions properly with the default settings. However, making changes to any of the settings EXCEPT the image folder path does NOT result in changes in the actual display of the gallery.

I have attempted to verify that this is not a local cache issue by viewing from another PC that has never been to this site prior to the changes being made, and I do not have Joomla's caching enabled yet. Additionally, I have uninstalled & re-installed the component several times. It does say it saves the changes, and it does display the saved changes in the admin area if you leave the component admin and return.

If I understand correctly you added Menu item of Gallery Layout type. If that is the case, to modify gallery settings you should edit settings of that Menu item. Editing global settings (from Admiror Gallery Control Panel) will not have effect on the menu item gallery.

All in all, it is possible that there is a bug, so I will check just in case

This confusion with settings is present for a while, and we have some ideas how to make this simpler, but it is still just an idea.

You were absolutely correct in your assumption. I dont know why I got tripped up by that, I have definitely used that method that successfully on previous versions.
