Hello,

My co-administrator ran into the following problem when attempting to create a new gallery after server move:

Error

Check folder permmisions!

Server OS:nginx
Client OS:Windows XP
PHP:5.3.21-1~dotdeb.0

I have set the whole /thumbs/ folder at 777 but no change.
Any ideas as to how to fix this?

EDIT: forgot to add: Joomla version is 2.5.9.

Can you remove restriction : open_basedir restriction in effect?

It looks like the server configuration is not allowing Joomla to write to this folder because of open_basedir restriction.

i've got this reply from my service provider (free translation follows):

It certainly isn't an open_basedir or permissions problem.
We guess that nginx gives a non-standard path to php.
The gallery script ought to be able to accommodate that.

I'm kind of clueless here because the content that was set up at a different service provider prior to final move continues to work flawlessly.
Any new content we try to add runs to ground though.

EDIT: the service provided had previously mused at the fact that the plugin attempts to generate a catalogue at:
/home/clients/new.brk.ee/www/plugins/content/admirorgallery/admirorgallery/thumbs/Nova_Office/DNL140-A.jpg/
instead of generating a file at:
/home/clients/new.brk.ee/www/plugins/content/admirorgallery/admirorgallery/thumbs/Nova_Office/DNL140-A.jpg

I figured it out myself, my co-admin generated subfolder named DNL140-A.jpg
I changed the subfolder name to DNL140A and everything works again.
I assume the fact that the folder anme contained a file extension is to blame?

Interesting, I didn't know that this can be problematic Nice to know.
