Re: Functions call die() & additional labels support

Hi :) I suggest you think about the MySQL option first. If you decide to go that way, the adding of extra attributes will make : - your old versions work with old functionality; - your new versions work with new fields/functionality. It'd be bad if you first change your software to add new attribute...

Re: Buttons in component not disabled

Thanks.

It's not a big thing, like you think too. But it'd be nice if it works like Joomla! itself :)

Re: Using thumbnail images in component

Consideration for database would be the quicker access. Opening & reading files is slow. Maybe we can do a speed test some time? :) Permissions isn't really a hard problem, but it's often harder to implement. You can solve the permissions problem by using a folder that you created yourself, like...

'Back' button in component [IMPLEMENTED Breadcrumb Buttons]

Hi :) Is it possible to have a Back-button in the component? After I write a description or rename a file, I want to go back to the previous folder-view. (and I don't want to have to open the tree on the left. Sometimes I use an image in a folder 3 levels deep, and then I have to click 3 times on th...

Re: Using thumbnail images in component

(As you have stated you maybe want to save some image info in a database) 3. Save the thumbnail info in a database (kinda like your cache idea, but permanent as SQL data) 4. Save the thumbnail picture and the info in a database (the picture will be inside a BLOB field), and you could get all thumbs ...

Buttons in component not disabled

Hi :) When I am in the component part, some of the buttons are grayed out, but not disabled like normal Joomla!. Like for instance, you can click Write Caption on a folder view (not a detail of 1 picture). They still 'work'. Of course, they give an error message because you can't REALLY use them at ...

Re: Functions call die() & additional labels support

2. About additional labels [...] It's a platform for using open source web galleries (like Slimbox, Fancybox, etc.). 99% of all open source galleries has only one label supported (caption for image). We can have additional label, named Image Title, but it will be shown only in custom made Templates...

Functions call die() & additional labels support

Hi :) I hope I can make suggestions too! ;) First of all, some of your functions call die() and users end up with a white page with no text and no idea what happened or what went wrong. I think it would be a good idea to give at least an error message on that white page, or even better go back to th...
