Grouped in one post as this features are similar.

I'd consider moving thumbnalis from plugin directory to some folder in cache directory (eg. "ROOT_DIR/cashe/gallery_thumbs"), by default. This would make thumbs easier to find, and manage if needed.

Optionally hashing original file names would be also nice. This can by done same way as in other plugins md5 hash of: "filename, [opt directory], thumb/image size".

Than finally watermarking :)

Maybe placing a thumbnails in cache directory isn't bad idea. Sound reasonable. How cache directory works in Joomla! ? Is Joomla! clears this folder? If it does than it will cause a problem with image details files. Image details than must be in database...

Cache is cleared manually from Admmin menu -> Tools -> Clean Cache. Some components eg. "Content" clears automatically when changes are done, but I've never noticed them to clear other extensions folders. Images in subdirectories of cache were always left untouched, if not cleared manually.
I think there is no need of moving image details files, just thumbs which are now stored in "/plugins/content/AdmirorGallery/thumbs" (and fullsize if file name hashing enabled). BK-Multithumb works this way.
