There is no option for managing permissions. You would need to change some definitions in the code.

I guess that you mean you need Manager to access Image Manager in Admiror Gallery?

Hi and thank for this great component.

You have misunderstood the request here. You have shown how to enable the "image manager" functionality (layout) in the front end for specific user groups.

The OP is asking how to enable user level "manager" (groupID = 6) to have access to the Admiror Component in administrative back-end. If you have a user with access level "manager" and they log into the backend, they cannot even view the component. Only from administrator and above.

I have searched the code and can't seem to find any hint.

I would also like this functionality, and what I propose is to allow managers to manage galleries only, that is to have access ONLY to the image manager part of the component but not control panel, config, templates etc...

If you can guide me in the correct direction I would gladly write it and share it.

Thanks again!

OFF TOPIC
Also I will be writing a template/popup for this excellent gallery, that is touch-optimized and 100% responsive. Of course I will share this as well.

edit:
the problem is that this component does not use the table class and cannot be mapped to assetID so to implement J25 ACL

In general your are right :)

Admiror Gallery is not completely ported to J2.5. I mean it works and all, but the new features introduced with J2.5 are not integrated in Admiror Gallery.
That is why we have this kind of problem, unfortunately.

I now understand what you need, and sorry to say I cannot promise when this would be added as we have little time to spend working on the gallery dev, I hardly keep up with the support forum here.
But if the opportunity arises, I will most certainly try to include this suggestion into it.

The best way to propose new ideas is using viewforum.php?f=9 subforum to suggest improvement, and this would be a big improvement :)

Thanks for explaining the issue to me.
