Hi,

Just installed Admirer Gallery 4 in Joomla 2.5. The gallery views nice in the website's frontend (uploaded the images through FTP and configured the module):

https://agenty-buduschego.ru/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=30&Itemid=157&lang=ru

But I cannot enter folders in Image Manager (clicking on them doesn't have effect) and cannot see or upload any images there.

The look of the backend is like this:

Image

I can work with the gallery using FTP, but this is a crude way of handling and I don't know how to set captions for the images without using Image Manager.

Any ideas on how to resolve this, please?

We never had this kind of problem before. My best bet is that there is some JavaScript conflict, and this was the case in a few issues, but never in the back-end only front end.

One thing I could advice without checking for myself, is to try to change the back-end language to English and check if makes any difference. Maybe Russian chars break some JavaScript script. This is just a guess, but it is easy to check :)

I see that gallery works fine on front-end, meaning that there is no problem with path to the images or anything similar. This makes you issue even puzzling for me.

As a last resort, it would be to create a user and let me access you back end so I could check what is happening. And of course, if it comes to that, please send me access details using PM or mail :)

Quoting here the script parts of the backend page's head. Maybe it's mootools?

Code:
<script src="https://agenty-buduschego.ru/plugins/content/admirorgallery/admirorgallery/AG_jQuery.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
  <script src="https://agenty-buduschego.ru/administrator/components/com_admirorgallery/scripts/jquery.hotkeys-0.7.9.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
  <script src="/media/system/js/mootools-core.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
  <script src="/media/system/js/core.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
  <script src="/media/system/js/modal.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
  <script type="text/javascript">

          AG_jQuery(function(){

          // SET SHORCUTS
          AG_jQuery(document).bind("keydown", "ctrl+return", function (){submitbutton("AG_apply");return false;});
          AG_jQuery(document).bind("keydown", "ctrl+backspace", function (){submitbutton("AG_reset");return false;});

          });//AG_jQuery(function()

      window.addEvent('domready', function() {

         SqueezeBox.initialize({});
         SqueezeBox.assign($$('a.modal'), {
            parse: 'rel'
         });
      });
  </script>

Nikola, I don't know your email to complete a user creation. Can you register yourself on the site, so I could give you a temporary access?

Problem is https.
Well as you can see below, Image Manager uses wrong URL, non https.
Each time you select a folder it submits the form data to http:// but later Joomla is redirecting it to https:// so the post data is lost.
As you can se from HTML output from Image Manager:
Code:
<form action="http://agenty-buduschego.ru/administrator/index.php?option=com_admirorgallery&view=imagemanager" method="post" name="adminForm" id="adminForm" enctype="multipart/form-data">
<input type="hidden" name="option" value="com_admirorgallery" />
<input type="hidden" name="task" value="" />
<input type="hidden" name="view" value="imagemanager" />
<input type="hidden" name="controller" value="imagemanager" />
<input type="hidden" name="AG_itemURL" value="/images/savin/" id="AG_input_itemURL" />

To fix this, you need to edit : administrator\components\com_admirorgallery\views\imagemanager\tmpl\default.php file, line 46:
Code:
<form action="<?php echo JURI::getInstance()->toString();?>" method="post" name="adminForm" id="adminForm" enctype="multipart/form-data">

and change it to :
Code:
<form action="<?php echo JRoute::_('index.php?option=com_admirorgallery&view=imagemanager');?>" method="post" name="adminForm" id="adminForm" enctype="multipart/form-data">

I'm not 100% sure this will fix the problem, I don't have means to try with https, so let me know if that helped.

Oh wow!

After I've done the latest change you suggested, it has magically begun working! :P

And you not only suggested a fix for your nice gallery alone, but probably for the host of HTTPS related problems I'm having with this Joomla! :roll:

Many thanks!

I won't erase your profile, just take away admin rights.
