Hi there,

I have Admiror Gallery 3.0.185 installed on Joomla 1.5.22 and I noticed that when file permissions for my entire Joomla folder and all files/folders inside is all set to 777, the Image Manager works great. I set my permissions back to 644 for all directories and 755 for all files for security purposes and all of a sudden I'll check some images, select an action and hit the "APPLY" button, it just goes to a blank white screen and makes no changes. What files need to have more permissions in order for the Image Manager to work for me?

Thanks, Chris

I have Windows here so I cannot check to see what file needs higher permissions.

But, what you can do is turn on error reporting on your server (if in local) and instead of blank page you should get some error message, most probably related to permission and the file that is problematic. My best bet is that XML files created by image manager and thumb folder in admirorgallery plugin should be 755.

I will try to setup Linux environment in VirtualBox, and check this.

Please let me know what you find out.

Could you maybe please post a list of all directories in the Joomla structure that the component accesses?

I think that this might be the similar case as I described here: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=957#p3501

Check that your files owner is the same as the user that executes PHP. In my case apache is the user that executes PHP scripts, so every file that apache is the owner ImageManager can access with no problem no matter if permissions are 755 or 644. But in case someone else is the owner, than files need to be 777 so that apache can use them.
