It's to much for us to play a cop and hunting inappropriate contents in signatures of some users. Say bye-bye to signatures... ;)

Oh no... I think this is not good for all the members here! And what about the posts, which are already being posted along with signatures?

If you wish I can make this part of my moderator role, with me keeping an eye on signitures, emailing the person if it's against the forum rules and then banning etc if they do not change it?

This way signitures are allowed but you do not have to spend time policing them.

using link directly is against of forum rule. but you can use link with the help of signature. also it help for making backlinks.

The many benefits of using signature are:

1)Free Advertising – It costs nothing to put an automatic signature
in your email.
2)Efficiency – Its quick and simple to insert a signature file in most
email programs.
3)Automation – Your ad is inserted automatically in every email you send.
4)Recurrence – Your signature ad is viewed many times over the
course of your campaign.

A signature is, by default, a simple link to the user page of the FFXIclopedia user who edited the page, followed by the date and time of the page's saving.
